Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site CDL Vacuum Truck Driver position based in Shreveport, LA. The Vacuum Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a vacuum truck to service residential and commercial septic systems throughout Northwest Louisiana. Daily responsibilities include pumping septic tanks, lift stations, grease traps, and other wastewater systems while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism. Drivers are expected to complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, accurately document services performed, and follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B (Class A preferred)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Experience operating vacuum trucks is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL vacuum truck on scheduled service routes.
- Pump residential and commercial systems, lift stations, and aerobic treatment systems.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment.
- Operate pumps, hoses, valves, and other vacuum equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with customers while providing excellent service.
- Keep the truck, equipment, and work area clean and well-maintained.
- Report equipment issues promptly and assist with basic maintenance as needed.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor as required. Digging and heavy lifting IS REQUIRED.
Preferred Experience
- CDL driving experience
- Vacuum truck or septic industry experience
- Construction, utility, wastewater, or heavy equipment experience
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle inspections
