We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately following physician orders while adhering to HIPAA guidelines and medical documentation standards
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assess patient health status
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and catheter care
- Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and hospice care in compliance with individualized care plans
- Use electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document medical information precisely and securely
- Provide tube feeding assistance and manage other medical procedures within your scope of practice
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care in assisted living, nursing home settings, or during home & community care visits
- Maintain thorough medical records and ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory standards and privacy laws
Skills
- Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation
- Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs including Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
- Ability to perform medical procedures such as catheter care, tube feeding, and vital signs measurement confidently
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassionate communication tailored to seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings like acute care or hospice environments while maintaining attention to detail
