Full-Time Barista @ Weather Gage Coffee Shop & Bakery
Do you love coffee, connecting with people, and being part of a hardworking team? We're looking for an experienced, energetic Barista who is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences and building relationships with our regular customers.
This is more than just making coffee, it's about learning our guests' favorite drinks, recommending pastries and breakfast sandwiches, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages
- Learn and execute drink recipes consistently and efficiently
- Recommend and sell breakfast sandwiches, pastries, baked goods, and retail items
- Build genuine relationships with guests and provide personalized service
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee equipment
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment
- Restock products and assist with inventory management
- Support bakery operations with light food preparation, packaging, and merchandising
- Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
What We're Looking For
- Previous barista experience required
- Strong customer service background with a friendly, outgoing personality
- Knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso drinks, and brewing techniques
- Ability to learn new recipes and menu offerings quickly
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help wherever needed
- Sales-minded approach with confidence in making recommendations to guests
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Full-time availability, including Saturdays and Sundays
- Food Safety Certification is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Perform repetitive tasks such as grinding, tamping, pouring, and food preparation
