This position requires the individual to display an ability to use a variety of hand tools, hand saws, shovels, digging bars, claw hammers, tape measure, rakes, brooms etc. The individual must have the ability to use gas power tools, Demo saws, Generators, Blowers, Water pumps and etc. This position requires the ability to use Pneumatic air tools, Jack hammers, Air saws, Tampers and etc. Duties could include digging near various underground utilities. Other duties include the repair of existing conduit systems, placing of telephone cables and to complete restoration of dirt or grass areas, Asphalt areas, Concrete areas and Brick pavers. This position will require working in confine spaces such as Manholes and Trench excavations. This position will require climbing of ladders as well as climbing in and out of trucks to retrieve tools and material using three points of contact at all times. This person is required to drive a Non-CDL vehicle such as a one ton dump truck, pick-up or van. This individual must perform a daily pre-trip and post trip inspections of a vehicle, perform a daily check of all vehicle fluids and tire pressure. This individual must operate a vehicle in a safe manner, obey all traffic laws and follow all DOT standards applicable to a vehicle. It is mandatory that this individual attends all Safety Meetings and required training. It is also critical that this individual wear all appropriate PPE at all times along with maintaining a clean and safe work area. This person is also expected to complete Daily Production Sheets and follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
