It is expected that the Preschool TEACHER will …
- Perform the professional duties of a preschool teacher in accordance with the school's policies and under the supervision of the school administrator.
- Hold an Associates degree from an accredited post-secondary institution or be willing to participate in a program to complete such a degree within a specified time period.
- Be willing to participate in a program to complete the requirements for certification within a specified time period.
- Instructs students in a program of study which meets stated objectives and prepared students to master grade level standards.
- Create lessons plans that incorporate instructional strategies, considers learning styles and actively engage students.
- Establishes and maintains classroom standards of behavior with positive reinforcement. Follows the school-wide discipline policy.
- Evaluates academic and social growth of students, prepares report cards, and keeps appropriate records to include attendance reports and other documentations as needed.
- Communicates regularly with parents or guardians through conferences and other means to discuss student progress.
- Possess evidence of other adequate preparation, background, or experience as determined by the school administrator.
