Senior Superintendent | Commercial Construction
We're seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent with a proven background leading large-scale commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through closeout. This individual will play a key leadership role in overseeing field operations while mentoring project teams and delivering complex projects across healthcare, higher education, commercial, life sciences, and hospitality throughout the DFW market.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead all field operations from site mobilization through project completion
- Manage and mentor Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and subcontractors
- Drive project schedules while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity
- Coordinate daily activities with Project Management, owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners
- Conduct OAC meetings, manage inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications and building codes
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Oversee quality control, punch lists, and project turnover while maintaining exceptional client relationships
- Foster a positive jobsite culture built around accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 10+ years of commercial construction experience, including 5+ years as a Lead or Senior Superintendent
- Proven experience delivering ground-up commercial projects valued at $30M+
- Strong background within healthcare, higher education, commercial, life sciences, or hospitality construction
- Demonstrated ability to lead large field teams while managing multiple subcontractors and complex project schedules
- Experience utilizing construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a client-first mindset
- Stable work history with a track record of successfully delivering complex commercial construction projects

This is much more in line with what Birch would realistically hire for than the original posting, which reads more like an Assistant/Project Superintendent position. A Senior Superintendent at Birch is expected to own large commercial jobs, mentor field staff, and serve as the lead field executive on projects.
Pay: $160,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
