The Registered Nurse, School Health works with the patient, family and health care team in the development of the plan of care. He/she carries out nursing responsibilities and acts as a liaison between school and School Based health center setting which will contribute to the healthy growth and development of the individual child. Frequent communication outside of the work group is required to resolve disagreements, reach agreements and clarify issues/processes. Responsibility exists to ensure that internal customers are satisfied with service. Communicates with external contacts frequently and is responsible to ensure ongoing service.
Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred Education:
BSN preferred.
Required Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Current RN license in good standing issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing
Current CPR certification (Healthcare Provider) required.
Required Experience:
One-year clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care.
School nursing experience a plus.
Preferred Experience:
Pediatric and Adolescent nursing experience preferred
