Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop tailored occupational therapy plans.
- Deliver hands-on therapy sessions in inpatient, outpatient, post-acute, and outpatient care environments, including clinics and specialized units.
- Utilize manual handling techniques safely to assist patients with weight-bearing activities and mobility exercises.
- Apply physiology and anatomy knowledge to evaluate movement patterns and design effective interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions across care settings such as geriatrics, pediatrics, and sub-acute care.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment use, and strategies for occupational health improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes using medical terminology and technical proficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in occupational therapy within academic or clinical settings with a strong understanding of pediatrics, geriatrics, inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute care environments.
- Solid knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles.
- Proficiency in manual handling techniques and weight management in the workplace to ensure safety for both patients and therapists.
- CPR certification and familiarity with emergency response procedures are essential.
- Experience working with diverse populations across clinics or hospital units including geriatrics and pediatric patients.
- Strong technical skills related to therapy equipment, documentation software, and clinical assessment tools.
- Ability to adapt interventions based on individual patient needs while demonstrating excellent communication skills.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
