This is an event-based position, meaning work schedules and hours will vary depending on our performance and event calendar. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, part-time work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Duties
- Thoroughly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, including sinks, counters, and storage areas.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients when needed.
- Support banquet and catering operations by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service.
- Help with general cleaning duties throughout the kitchen and dining areas to uphold sanitation standards.
- Manage proper disposal of waste and recycling materials in accordance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes during service periods.
- Assist with kitchen closing duties and maintain an organized work environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, catering, or event venues preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues across multiple departments.
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen cleaning procedures and equipment.
- Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality and guest service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Schedule & Availability
- Event-based scheduling; hours will vary based on the venue's performance and event calendar.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is preferred.
- Opportunities for additional hours may be available during high-volume event periods.
