Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, including both low and high voltage applications. This role requires expertise in reading schematics, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Journeyperson Electrician will work on various projects, contributing to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment according to NEC standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using logic controllers and ohmmeters to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects involving frame carpentry and other related tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and industrial electrical practices.
- Familiarity with NEC guidelines and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents including schematics and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
