Telecare’s Deschutes Recovery Center is hiring two QMHA team members who want flexible work while making a real impact in the lives of individuals recovering from serious mental illness.
While Telecare classifies these positions as On-Call, this role offers pre-planned Per Diem shifts to help cover vacations, leaves of absence, and scheduled staffing needs. This means you can often plan your schedule in advance while maintaining flexibility.

As a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), you will support individuals on their recovery journey by providing compassionate, hands-on care in a therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities include:
Providing direct support to members served based on individualized service plans
Supporting daily routines, wellness activities, and recovery goals
Observing and documenting behavioral health needs
Assisting members served with transportation to appointments, activities, and groups
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
Supporting a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused environment
Your work will help individuals rebuild independence, stability, and hope.
On-Call (Per Diem coverage with pre-planned scheduling)

Overnight shifts
Shift lengths may vary:
8 hours
10 hours
12 hours
Schedules vary depending on program needs.
Expected starting wage: $18.69 – $22.52 per hour
Telecare applies geographic differentials to pay ranges. Starting wages are based on relevant experience and qualifications.
Additional shift differentials available:
PM Shift: +6%
Overnight Shift: +10%
Weekend AM: +5%
Weekend PM: +11%
Weekend Overnight: +15%
You may qualify if you have either of the following:
Additional requirements:
Must be eligible for QMHA-R (registration) in Oregon within 30 days of hire. Must start the process before you start, with 30 days to receive proof of registration from date of hire.
Must obtain QMHA certification within 12 months of hire
Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance
Willingness to drive clients using a company vehicle

Deschutes Recovery Center is a Secure Residential Treatment Facility (SRTF) serving 16 adults (18+) living with serious mental illness. The program supports individuals transitioning from the Oregon State Hospital and other secure facilities into community-based recovery.
