Full Job Description

Hourly Non-Exempt $25.00-$28.00

The inVia Tier 1 Application Support Engineer is a position dedicated to our ROC (Robot Operations Center), supporting and monitoring the health and productivity of all robots deployed in the field. This role acts as an escalation point for the Support Technicians who are onsite at customer locations as well as customers who interact with our systems directly, serving as a second layer of support for customers during all hours of fulfillment operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as an escalation point for all issues arising from robots and the robotic system
Prioritize, troubleshoot and resolve robotic/system issues at multiple customer sites in parallel.
Monitor health and performance of servers, virtual machines, robots, and all associated systems and use critical thinking and cross-functional teamwork to support day-to-day operations.
Act as support for our onsite Support Technicians and any customers who interact directly with inVia RaaS or SaaS.
Maintain continuous availability and responsiveness when working with other teams to resolve issues
Serve as remote support for all robot and robotic systems maintenance in the field
Maintain and continuously update the inVia knowledge base with new processes and solutions as they occur
Document and track incidents in the ticketing system
Promote and conduct good technical housekeeping practices
Maintain a customer-centric, safety-first attitude

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Familiarity with Linux Operating Systems (Ubuntu preferred), use of terminal is a must.
Use of best practices for Linux systems administration and network troubleshooting.
High energy, self-motivation, and a dedication to excellence – motivated to take on difficult and rewarding challenges
Flexibility with work hours and workdays
Excellent communication skills – maintain consistent, open communication with other team members and members of supporting departments
Ability to prioritize and logistically support multiple production environments at a fast and dynamic pace
Ambitious, curious, and eager to learn – excited about robotics and logistics
knowledge of WIFI networking preferred
Ability to work successfully with minimal supervision
Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with customers, peers, management, contractors, and vendors
Able to correlate or collate behaviors and data from multiple symptoms and present data regarding high-priority incidents
Ability to escalate and coordinate inter-departmental troubleshooting efforts
