The Giggling Pig is looking for a talented, enthusiastic Watercolor Instructor to join our creative team! We’re seeking an experienced artist who enjoys teaching both adults and older children in a fun, encouraging, and welcoming studio environment.
What You’ll Do
- Teach engaging watercolor classes for adults and older children (approximately ages 8+)
- Create a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere where artists of all skill levels feel comfortable
- Follow existing lesson plans and curriculum while bringing your own creative ideas and artistic style to the studio
- Help develop new class concepts, seasonal workshops, and special events
- Prepare materials before class and leave the studio clean and organized afterward
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and artistic growth in every student
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
- An experienced watercolor artist with a portfolio
- Experienced teaching art to children, adults, or both (teaching experience is required)
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Independent and able to lead classes with minimal supervision
- Creative and excited to contribute fresh ideas for classes and workshops
- Friendly, patient, and passionate about helping others discover the joy of watercolor
- Comfortable teaching beginners while also challenging more experienced students
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching in an art studio, school, or community arts program
- Knowledge of a variety of watercolor techniques and materials
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Weekend and/or evening availability is a plus
