Family Law Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join our team at our Union City, New Jersey office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney looking to grow their practice in a supportive, collaborative environment while serving a diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive legal representation in all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, alimony, parenting time, domestic violence matters, and equitable distribution of assets.

Prepare and draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, agreements, and court filings.

Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, mediations, and settlement conferences.

Conduct client consultations, case evaluations, and strategy development.

Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff on cross-practice matters (e.g., immigration-family law intersections).

Maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely communication.

Stay current with New Jersey family law statutes, rules, and case law.
Qualifications
-
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Active license to practice law in New Jersey (admission in New York a plus).

Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience in family law (more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply).

Strong litigation, negotiation, and courtroom skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to manage a full caseload efficiently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

Spanish-speaking attorneys are strongly preferred - bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a significant advantage given our client base.

Experience working with diverse or immigrant communities.

Familiarity with family law issues that intersect with immigration or real estate matters.
