We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support production operations by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food production, and possesses strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on maintenance work and is looking for consistent overtime opportunities.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on production and packaging equipment.
- Follow preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment reliability.
- Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Troubleshoot production equipment and identify root causes of failures.
- Repair and maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations and startup activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and production efficiency.
- Work closely with production personnel to resolve equipment-related issues.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance work area.
- Ensure equipment repairs meet company quality and safety standards.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred).
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, and control circuits.
- Ability to read maintenance manuals, equipment diagrams, and basic electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a maintenance team.
- Willingness to work overtime and a half-day on Saturdays.
- Food manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Experience supporting packaging and production equipment.
- Experience participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
- $32–$36/hour (based on experience)
