Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate espresso machines and other equipment to brew coffee and prepare beverages
- Ensure the quality and consistency of each beverage served
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Handle cash transactions using the cash register or POS system
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with food preparation as needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee varieties
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating orders
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred
- Familiarity with operating a cash register or POS system is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
