GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As a Jakes Dishwasher your job entails keeping the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen. All cups, glassware, plates, silverware, storage containers, pots and pans are cleaned and sanitized. Trash cans, mop buckets, brooms, mops and dust pans are cleaned each shift. It is the responsibility of the dishwasher to ensure the dish machine is cleaned and maintained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.) Report to work in full Jakes uniform when scheduled and on time.
2.) Complete all opening duties, during shift duties, and closing duties.
3.) Set up wait stations with bus tubs, sanitizer buckets, cups, and ice.
4.) Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant inside and out.
5.) Have high energy and be a self-motivated team member.
6.) Keep wait stations fully stocked with glasses, coffee mugs, silverware, empty bus tubs, and ice.
8.) Maintain clean dishes and upkeep of the dish area.
9.) Be a team player!
10.) In your interactions with guests, you are expected to uphold our standards of excellent service and hospitality.
11.) General cleanliness of the restaurant includes sweeping, mopping and scrubbing the floors as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
No education is needed to start as a busser or dishwasher.
LANGUAGE SKILLS.
Must be able to communicate effectively.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must attend Orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the MAD Concepts Group training book. Must attend and successfully complete the training program prior to working a shift without supervision. Must successfully attend and complete any and all other required training in compliance with local and state regulations, such as food and/or alcohol service certifications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
As a dishwasher, you will be walking or standing throughout your shift. You may also be required to carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this role, dishwashers are regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles from the kitchen. The dishwasher is also occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, when in the dish area or walk-in cooler, and sometimes uses toxic or caustic chemicals when cleaning. The noise level at a MAD Concepts Group restaurant is usually loud
