Job Overview
School Health Consultants, Inc is seeking a substitute registered nurse to provide short term school health services in the north Kitsap area. This is a temporary part-time position with the potential for future permanent or per diem hours.
The ideal candidate will have a background in patient care, pediatrics, public health, and/or emergency care, and is committed to in ensuring the safety and well-being of students with various health needs.
Duties
- Assess and respond to students' health concerns, providing first aid and emergency care as necessary
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Create and maintain individual health plans
- Collaborate with students/families, school staff, healthcare providers, and community resources to help meet student needs
- Assist with immunization surveillance and compliance
- Other related nursing duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Registered nurse
- Prior nursing experience required
- School nursing, emergency care, pediatrics, or public health experience is a plus
- BLS certification required
The primary goal of this position is to help maintain a safe learning environment for students by providing professional healthcare services tailored to meet student's needs.
Pay: $750.00 - $1,125.00 per week
