Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings
- Scoop and serve ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt, and other desserts accurately and efficiently
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions smoothly
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Upsell additional toppings, specialty items, or combo offers to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Manage cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and handle cash handling responsibly
- Restock display cases regularly, monitor inventory levels, and assist with food preparation as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean workspace according to sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing retail math calculations
- Experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
- Retail sales experience or grocery store background can be beneficial for understanding product presentation and customer interactions
