OVERNIGHT POSITION!
River Oaks Donuts is seeking an experienced baker who wants to expand their skillset in the donut world. We are wanting a motivated, creative and self-sufficient individual who is comfortable working overnight shifts. This opportunity allows you to be creative and work your decorating magic. Professional baking experience required.
Job Objective: The Assistant Baker is responsible for maintaining high quality food and ensuring consistently in presentation. Familiar with all roles in the kitchen and able to successfully produce quality products.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Development of menu items and recipes as well as responsible for standardization of all recipes.
- Oversee daily preparation of menu items and assure quality control by supervising and instructing kitchen staff to adhere to all standardized recipes to ensure product consistency, level food cost and maximization of profitability.
- Supervise mixing of all Dough to include raised donuts, cake donuts and kolaches. Capable of adjusting batches to kitchen climate to ensure product consistency.
- Supervise rolling cutting, proofing, frying and baking of full product line to include full lines of raised donuts, cake donuts and kolaches with focus on quality and consistency.
- Manage completion of full production line of products as is dictated by the production chart by day as well as by hour. River Oaks Donuts will focus on hot raised glazed donuts being available all day long.
- Communicate with Management in regards to par levels and ensuring supply for the day.
- Oversee finishing of all donuts to include glazing, icing, filling, sugaring and decorating of full production line according to daily production chart.
- Oversee and assist in execution of kitchen cleanliness, organization and safety throughout each shift and at closing each day.
- Maintain high level of standard in food safety; proper handling and storage of food, ingredients and kitchen equipment.
- Quality control; provide approval on all product prior to going to display on sales floor.
- Use of various kitchen tools, including electric mixers, pans, rolling pins and cutting tools.
Safety and Sanitation:
- Exceed industry standards in food handling, food safety, staff safety, and ensure compliance with all health department regulations
- Practices food handling and general cleaning as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to think analytically and multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing.
- Must be certified Food Manager by HCPHES

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
