Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity and attention to detail
- Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers on features and benefits to enhance sales opportunities
- Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining attractive product displays to maximize sales potential
- Upsell complementary products by identifying customer needs and offering tailored recommendations
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear and friendly communication
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is highly valued
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership roles in retail environments is a plus
- Strong communication skills in bilingual settings are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience with product demos, merchandising, stocking, and retail math enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Knowledge of grocery store operations and retail sales transactions is beneficial
- Basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
