Super One Liquor-Crosby is seeking a customer-focused and reliable Liquor Store Clerk to join our team. We are looking for an energetic and trustworthy individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and has a passion for providing excellent service.
Job responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting them with product selection.
- Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash, credit card payments, and returns.
- Check customer identification to verify age on every transaction.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with incoming merchandise, rotating products to ensure freshness and proper arrangement.
- Assist with receiving and verifying incoming inventory shipments.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and attractive store environment by performing regular cleaning duties.
- Inform customers of current promotions and sales.
- Open and close the store according to established procedures, including securing cash and daily receipts.
Qualifications and skills
- Prior experience in a retail, cashiering, or customer service role is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform basic math accurately.
- Knowledge of different types of beer, wine, and liquor is helpful but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable, punctual, and a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
