American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Anderson, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability.

Medical ICU is a 20-bed mixed ICU/Step Down unit
-
ICU patient ratio is 2:1; Step Down patient ratio is 3:1
-
Floating required to sister unit (5S) for Step Down or progressive level patients at a 4:1 ratio

Patient population includes severe respiratory failure (pneumonia, ARDS, COPD/asthma exacerbations), sepsis and septic shock, hemodynamic instability, neurological conditions, complex metabolic and endocrine disorders, cardiac conditions, and GI/hepatic failure

Common patient needs include continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, invasive lines (arterial lines), mechanical and noninvasive ventilation, advanced oxygen therapies, titrated IV medications (vasopressors, sedatives, insulin, antiarrhythmics), enteral/parenteral nutrition, and NIH/TNK therapy

NIH Stroke Scale certification required

Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required

Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
