American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level II trauma center hospital in Asheville, NC.

Hospital CVOR unit (CV PreOp) located in the Heart Tower building
-
Day shift hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday
-
Patient ratio of 1:1 in a 4-bed unit
-
Stay-late on-call required 1–2 times per week
-
Floating within scope of practice and experience
-
Procedures include large-bore IV starts, hair removal, medication administration, skin assessment, and assistance with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement
-
Assists with patient transport to OR, induction/intubation, positioning, and skin prep
-
GE Carescape monitoring and Fuji ultrasound equipment used on unit
-
Documentation via Cerner

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required

CST certification is mandatory; state license required if applicable
-
Critical care experience required; PreOp experience is a plus

BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Active, current experience in the specialty within the last 6 months required

Proficiency with BCMA and electronic documentation

Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Excellent communication skills for interdepartmental collaboration

US SSN and DOB required for consideration

One professional reference required (two references required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Unit is supported by RNs, a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), secretary, and a shared management team with the CVOR
-
Scrubs are provided by the facility

This is a travel-only position — candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
