Job description:
Effectively manage three Assembly shifts with up to 50 employees overseeing all activities, inclusive of Secondary, Painting/Finishing, and Assembly. Fully accountable for results in terms of costs, methods, quality, and quantity of Assembly, operations, and personnel (staffing levels.)
Improve efficiency through the proper application of tools, fixtures, and process improvements, and through the identification and prevention of problems. Identify probable cause of molding problems; work with tooling, quality, and other departments as necessary to resolve.
Recommend and implement new technologies where applicable to maintain a competitive position in the marketplace.
Maintain equipment, work areas and housekeeping standards. Be vigilant to safety issues, concerns and hazards. Take appropriate action to correct unsafe conditions to prevent accidents and injuries.
Provide customer interface, review schedules and reports, monitor progress, measure effectiveness and analyze problems or delays which may affect customer satisfaction or delivery schedules. Provide appropriate documentation and reports to the President.
Maintain discipline, morale, and personnel relations. Coach and mentor supervisors. Identify training and developmental needs. Ensure effective communications between shifts, departments and upper management.
Interview pre-screened applicants. Review and approve recommendations for terminations, transfers, promotions, and wage adjustments.
Maintain records and documentation as applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned by the President.

Minimum requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in automation, management, and Microsoft programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively work with employees from diverse multi-cultural backgrounds and with varying levels of experience and skill sets.
Knowledge of and experience with Manufacturing Standards, Assembly Control, Systems Development, Defect Analysis, Quality Standards, and Human Relations.
Extensive experience working effectively with all levels of management within an organization.
