Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Eastern Nebraska Territory Trailer Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will drive trailer sales across the territory by developing strong relationships with commercial customers, agricultural producers, fleet managers, and individual buyers.
The ideal candidate is a motivated outside sales professional who understands the ag, equipment, or trailer market and knows how to build trust, identify customer needs, manage a sales pipeline, and close deals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to expand market presence throughout Eastern Nebraska while connecting customers with premium trailer solutions.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow trailer sales throughout the Eastern Nebraska territory, with a focus on both B2B and retail customers.
· Prospect for new business through cold calling, dealership visits, networking events, referrals, and industry trade shows.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with dealerships, commercial fleet accounts, agricultural customers, and individual buyers.
· Conduct product presentations and demonstrations that highlight trailer features, benefits, applications, and value.
· Manage the full sales cycle, including lead qualification, needs assessment, quoting, negotiation, closing, and post-sale follow-up.
· Use CRM software (Salesforce) to document customer interactions, track follow-ups, manage opportunities, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline.
· Coordinate with internal teams and on inventory availability, order processing, delivery timelines, and customer support.
· Identify, upsell and cross-sell opportunities for complementary products, services, parts, and accessories.
· Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams on promotional campaigns, territory initiatives, and brand awareness efforts.
· Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, customer feedback, and product developments to support continued territory growth.
Qualifications
· Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, territory sales, trailer sales, equipment sales, or agricultural industry sales preferred.
· Strong ability to prospect, qualify leads, build relationships, and close high-value deals.
· Excellent communication, presentation, phone etiquette, and customer service skills.
· Confident negotiation skills with a professional, transparent, and customer-focused approach.
· Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activity, pipeline progress, and customer follow-up.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and priorities at once.
· Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently across an assigned territory.
· Knowledge of trailers, ag equipment, commercial equipment, fleet needs, or related industries is highly preferred.
· Ability to attend trade shows, customer visits, dealership meetings, and other territory events as needed.
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within Eastern Nebraska.
