Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and service-oriented System Administrator to join our IT team in Northeastern Wisconsin. This role is ideal for someone who not only excels in managing and supporting IT infrastructure but also brings exceptional customer service skills to the table. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the stability, integrity, and efficiency of our clients’ IT systems, while providing top-tier support to end-users across the organization. You’ll also work directly with clients to assess their current IT infrastructure and make recommendations to ensure their future business needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, workstations, networks, and cloud-based systems.
- Configure and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
- Assist in planning and implementing system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements.
- Provide technical support and training to staff, both remotely and in person.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Collaborate with other IT staff on projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Maintain compliance with IT policies, security standards, and industry best practices.
- Assist Help Desk with inbound calls, tickets, and escalations.
- Be part of the scheduled on call rotation
- Travel to client sites will be moderate.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Proven experience and/or education as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role, and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V), and networking protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in a technical support environment.
- Resides in the Northeastern Wisconsin area.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+/Security+, Azure, CCNA, Microsoft 365 Certified, etc.).
- Experience with backup systems, cybersecurity best practices, PowerShell and remote monitoring tools.
