Western Peaks Logistics is seeking an After-hours Weekend Dispatcher for our SL-based office. This is an on-demand, fast-paced environment working four 10-hour afternoon/evening shifts (Th, Fr, Sa, Sun).
We are looking for a dispatcher to work closely with drivers in the field, assigning orders for delivery, coordinating paperwork and documentation of delivery times with signatures, communicating with customers, and problem solving.
Knowledge and skills needed for success include:
- detail-oriented
- organized
- thriving in a fast-paced environment
- ability to retain and understand
- ability to work independently or as a team
- prior transportation / dispatch experience
- knowledge of areas within the Wasatch Front (from Nephi to Logan & Park City to Tooele)
- working knowledge of MS Excel
- bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus
Pay is based on experience. Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Eligible benefits included health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, and Health Savings Account.
