Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and a keen eye for detail.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide recommendations on menu items, including upselling specials to enhance guest experience.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring correct presentation and quality standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables efficiently.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Assist with training new staff members on restaurant procedures and service standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is highly desirable.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing are essential.
