Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble baked goods, pastries, and cakes with attention to detail and artistic flair.
- Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, mixing, baking, and decorating to produce visually appealing products.
- Manage packaging of baked items and food products for retail or catering purposes, ensuring freshness and presentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Assist in high-volume production processes, supporting the team in meeting daily demand efficiently.
- Contribute to kitchen operations by organizing supplies, cleaning workstations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge and responding to customer inquiries with enthusiasm.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, baking, pastry arts, or a related culinary field.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cake decorating techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience working in a high-volume production environment or catering setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in baking and food preparation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable.
