Speech Innovations is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing multi-disciplinary team of Speech and Occupational Therapists.
We are looking for clinicians who are committed to improving the quality of life for pediatric clients through personalized, evidence-based care.
This position is available as Full-Time or Part-Time, with requested after-school availability. Position is for In-Clinic sessions only
Key Responsibilities
- Address clients’ performance skills to support engagement in meaningful daily activities that promote health, well-being, and quality of life
- Select and adapt appropriate occupational therapy treatment models and intervention strategies based on individual client needs
- Implement interventions to improve safety and independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
- Educate clients on breaking down tasks into manageable, achievable steps
- Assess home and other environments; recommend modifications aligned with client needs
- Recommend and train clients in the use of adaptive equipment when appropriate
- Provide guidance and education to family members and caregivers
- Monitor, document, and report progress toward short- and long-term goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and data collection
- Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure continuity of care
Requirements For COTA:
- Active Florida licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience (strongly preferred)

Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in occupational therapy practice
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and best practices
- Familiarity with ADL assessment tools
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient personalities
- Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and commitment to ongoing professional development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
