The residents of 1019 Belle's Place of Wabash would like to find a really good Cook to make their supper (evenings) and for alternating weekends. If you know how to batch cook, prep for a next meal, clean up a kitchen and love making each meal with care this may be a good position for you.
Responsibilities:
- Cooking and preparing various dishes that are delicious and nutritious
- Ensuring all food is prepared according to recipes and food safety standards
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
- Following proper food handling and storage procedures
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food industry preferred
- Knowledge of residential facility dietary department is a plus
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and utensils
- Basic understanding of food handling and safety guidelines, ServSafe a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Culinary training or certification is a bonus but not necessary
