Part-Time Payroll & Bookkeeper
Location: Morris, IL
Position Type: Part-Time
Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour (higher pay may be considered based on experience)
Schedule: Flexible hours. Approximately 10 hours per week to start, with the potential to increase up to 35 hours per week during busy seasons.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is responsible for managing payroll, bookkeeping functions, tax-related documentation, and day-to-day financial recordkeeping for a variety of business clients. The ideal candidate must have strong QuickBooks experience and be comfortable handling accounting functions from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities

Process payroll accurately and timely for multiple clients

Manage bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online

Prepare and maintain financial records and reports

Assist with quarterly payroll tax filings and reporting

Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate recordkeeping

Prepare sales tax returns and related documentation

Maintain client files and financial records

Communicate professionally with clients regarding payroll and bookkeeping matters

Support accounting and administrative functions as needed
Required

Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) - REQUIRED

Previous payroll and bookkeeping experience

Strong understanding of payroll processing and tax reporting

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Experience with sales tax reporting

Experience working with multiple business clients

Accounting or bookkeeping certification is a plus
