American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a cardiac cath lab position requiring RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification and hands-on experience with GE Discovery, IABP, and Impella.

Cardiac cath lab setting with 3 procedure rooms and 5 beds, averaging 8–10 patients per day

Adult to geriatric patient population

Procedures include diagnostic cath, PCI, orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants — no EP studies or ablations performed
-
Required experience with GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and CSI equipment
-
EMR: Epic (required), Merge (preferred); also uses Pyxis and SBAR
-
4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
10 call days per month required
-
Float within department and facility; occasional float to a sister campus is possible

Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

Active BLS, ACLS, and RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification required

License required if applicable

EKG experience required, including obtaining vitals, rhythm interpretation, and sinus node rhythms

Pacemaker experience preferred

Proficiency with GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and CSI required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Copies of all applicable certifications required for consideration

Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration

Scrubs are provided by the facility
-
RTO maximum of 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week
-
Holiday coverage is expected: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Travelers who have previously worked at any facility in this health system must have been away for a full year before returning

Local candidates are accepted

No schedule change requests or alternate shifts are permitted; the posted shift is firm

Candidates undergo a clinical screening process prior to manager review
