American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of scrubbing heart caths and devices experience and required RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification.

Work in a diagnostic cardiac cath lab with 3 rooms and 5 beds
-
Adult to geriatric patient population
-
Average daily census of 8-10 patients
-
Patient diagnoses include diagnostic cath, PCI, orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants
-
No EP studies or ablations performed in this role
-
Uses GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and CSI equipment
-
Epic EMR required, with Pyxis and SBAR used; Merge experience preferred
-
4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
-
Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
-
Floating required within department and facility, with possibility to float to sister campus
-
10 call days per month required
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab, including scrubbing heart caths and devices
-
Current BLS and ACLS required
-
RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification required
-
ARRT R certification preferred
-
Epic charting system experience required
-
Experience with EKG lead placement, obtaining vitals, and rhythm interpretation required, including sinus node rhythms

Pacemaker experience preferred
-
Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, PCI, PTCA, and right heart catheterization
-
Prior travel experience required

License required if applicable

Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, EKG lead placement, room circulation, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing

Scrubs are provided by the facility
-
Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, and all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
-
No RTO can be requested during orientation week or after offer/onsite
-
If 1-2 major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested
-
If 3 major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
-
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
-
First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate

Former Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler

Returning travelers who were cancelled or given a DNR must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
