Plans and prepares meals for the children in accordance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines. Works to ensure that the nutrition services and the program as a whole meet or exceed all requirements set forth in funding agency regulations, Personnel Policies, Procedures Manual, sanitation regulations and requirements as set forth by the governing agency.
As a member of our school Food Service operations staff, individuals applying for the referenced cook position will be required to successfully manage the following core disciplines that include, but are not limited to: 1) Coordinate and prepare all daily meals served to students in their classrooms; 2) Plan, prepare, and complete advance weekly school menu plans for the purpose of meeting mandated CACFP student daily nutritional requirements; 3) Coordinate and Manage all required Kitchen and School meal preparation, serving, storage, and cleaning procedures; 4) Coordinate and prepare all CACFP Food Order and Meals Served reports including, but not limited to: a) Daily meal reports; b) Daily meal and student counts served; c) Daily, Weekly, and Monthly CACFP reports as required; and, d) Oversee all school vendor food inventory order and shipment received reports.
Candidates must meet all minimum education, compliance, certification, and experience term standards to apply. All employees are required to complete and pass GAPS Livescan Fingerprint Background Check; Drug Screening Test; have a CPR Training Certificate (or become CPR certified) and be ServSafe certified. All employees must be legally authorized to live and be employed in the United States and State of Georgia.
