Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to keep all areas tidy and hygienic
- Clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure sanitation standards are met
- Handle trash removal and recycling tasks regularly to maintain cleanliness standards
- Use cleaning equipment such as buffers or floor polishers for floor care and buffing tasks
- Maintain supplies by restocking paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning products as needed
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Assist with light maintenance tasks or minor repairs related to cleanliness or facility upkeep
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks efficiently and safely
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality
- Good organizational skills to manage supplies and prioritize tasks
- Basic understanding of facilities maintenance or porter experience is a plus
