Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and caring Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team. As an independent contractor, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver home-based rehabilitation services that help patients regain independence and improve daily function.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments as outlined in the supervising OT’s plan of care.
- Assist patients in developing, recovering, and maintaining daily living skills and independence.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and adaptive strategies.
- Document visits promptly and accurately using EMR systems (e.g., Pariox).
- Communicate effectively with supervising OT, patients, families, and care teams.
- Travel locally to patients’ homes within assigned service areas.
Qualifications
- Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (required)
- Home health experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
- Compassionate and professional approach to patient care
