Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Store Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage all aspects of store performance. Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to foster a high-performing team.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock purchasing, merchandising, stocking, inventory control, and shrink reduction initiatives.
- Manage all aspects of store operations such as cash handling, cashiering, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and bookkeeping to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Coordinate marketing efforts and promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and facilitate ongoing training & development programs to enhance team skills.
- Handle administrative responsibilities including payroll processing, budgeting, pricing adjustments, and record keeping with organizational precision.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, store policies, and legal regulations while maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail sales or grocery stores with a strong background in supervising teams.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, recruiting, interviewing, and employee orientation to build motivated teams.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse customer bases.
- Strong knowledge of retail math, sales management, inventory management, merchandising, and store operations.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory control.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and customer satisfaction.
- Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail environments is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently using time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies, wireless sales (if applicable), pricing policies, and retail math concepts is advantageous.
