Medical Assistant
We expect a high level of professionalism from our staff. Qualified applicants must be reliable and detail oriented, possess a friendly and positive attitude, have excellent customer service skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. A proven track record of taking initiative in the work environment is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate

Completion of a medical assistant program from an accredited institution

Previous medical assistant and phlebotomy experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Ensures efficient clinical flow in rooming patients and obtaining vital signs

Obtains blood specimens by performing venipuncture and fingersticks with minimal patient discomfort

Performs intramuscular and subcutaneous injections

Prepares exam rooms for new patients

Prepares, processes and stores patient samples in accordance with clinic protocols

Follows infection control and safety procedures
-
Performs laboratory tests on the premises

Notifies the clinic director of unusual test results in a timely manner

Performs accurate documentation of treatment and test results

Performs quality assessment activities

Performs laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration

Maintains daily logs and equipment record books

Inventories stock and orders supplies
-
Maintains patient confidence and keep patient care information confidential

Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following clinic standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations

Maintains cleanliness of the clinic and laboratory

Provides office support as needed, including receptionist relief
Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification:

Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

BLS Certification (Required)
