JOB TITLE: Low Voltage Technician
GENERAL SUMMARY: Low Voltage Technician will be responsible to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage systems for commercial business. They will have hands-on experience with security cameras, access control systems, structured cabling, and related low-voltage technologies.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install, program, test, and maintain CCTV/security camera systems.

Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and service calls for existing low-voltage systems.

Install and terminate low-voltage cabling.

Configure and troubleshoot network-connected security devices and NVR/DVR systems.

Install access control, intercom, alarm, and related electronic security systems.

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.

Ensure all installations comply with company standards, local codes, and safety regulations.

Document work performed, service reports, and customer communications.

Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in a professional manner.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Previous experience in low-voltage installation and service is a plus.
- Working knowledge of CCTV cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and IP-based security systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing and switches.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in various environments.
