We are seeking a Resident Diesel Truck Technician for our Jackson, MI Region.This is a full-time position supporting a fleet and customer equipment across a multi-county service area. You'll be outfitted with a brand-new Mercedes Benz Sprinter van equipped to your specifications and spend 95%+ of your time on the road providing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs at customer locations. This role offers independence, variety, and the opportunity to work with modern equipment.
Must-haves:
4+ years of diesel/heavy-duty engine experience
Diagnostic capabilities and proficiency with diagnostic software
Ability to read wiring schematics and use multimeters
Valid driver's license
Class B CDL (company will support obtaining if needed)
Willing to provide own tools up to 3/4" drive
Pass background check, driving record check, and drug screening
Willing to work in field environment with minimal shop time
Nice-to-haves:
10+ years of experience
Cummins certification or experience with Cummins Insight/Guidance software
Familiarity with after-treatment and fuel systems
Air conditioning service knowledge
Michigan state auto or heavy-duty certifications
Experience with Detroit Diagnostic Link, Wabco, or Allison software
Residence in Lansing-Detroit region (Flint to Ann Arbor area)
Wage: $38$43/hour (base) efficiency bonus adds $1$5/hour based on performance

Schedule: MondayFriday, first shift with flexible start times (6 AM8 AM start 3 PM5 PM end)
Overtime: 110 hours per week average overtime paid after 40 hours/week
On-Call: None required
Work Environment: 95%+ on the road initial 4-week training period in-shop before full field deployment
