We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide product information to enhance their shopping experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization through effective merchandising and stocking of products.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
- Support sales initiatives by upselling products and promoting special offers.
- Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales, with a strong understanding of customer service principles.
- Familiarity with cashiering processes and cash handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members.
- Experience in merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility and appeal.
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer groups.
