NEMT Driver – Calexico to Apple Valley Recurring Route
Job Type: Part-Time / Per Diem (PRN)
Pay: $18–$21/hour + overtime as required by California law
About the Position
MedBlack Transport LLC is seeking a reliable, professional, and experienced NEMT Driver for a recurring long-distance route from Calexico to Apple Valley and back.
- Approximately 400 miles per day
- 200 miles each way
- 12 hour shift
- Recurring scheduled route (2-3 times a week)
- Must be comfortable with long-distance driving and extended shifts
- 2-3 passengers per trip
The driver will safely transport NEMT clients while providing professional and respectful service throughout the trip.
Requirements
- Valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record
- NEMT experience preferred
- CPR & First Aid certified
- Long-distance driving experience preferred
- Must pass required drug and alcohol testing
- Must complete fingerprinting and background screening
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable driving 400 miles in one day
- Safely transport clients from Medical Clinic in Calexico, routing to Desert Valley Hospital in Apple Valley
- Provide professional door-through-door assistance
- Safely load, secure, and transport wheelchair passengers
- Assist clients with mobility needs
- Follow all traffic laws and transportation safety requirements
- Complete vehicle safety inspections
- Use the mobile dispatch system for trip assignments and communication
- Complete required trip documentation
- Maintain client dignity, safety, and comfort throughout the trip
- MedBlack will provide a company uniform consiting of black shirt and optional hat.
- Black pants or Jeans will be required
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
