Responsibilities
- Install new irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, piping, valves, controllers, and associated equipment, ensuring precise setup aligned with landscape plans.
- Perform routine irrigation maintenance to keep systems operating efficiently, including adjusting sprinkler heads and cleaning filters.
- Troubleshoot system issues such as leaks, clogs, electrical faults, or controller malfunctions using electrical diagnostics and system troubleshooting techniques.
- Repair and replace irrigation equipment components swiftly to minimize downtime and maintain landscape health.
- Conduct excavation work using hand tools or excavators to install or repair underground piping and system components safely and accurately.
- Manage automated irrigation control systems to optimize watering schedules based on soil science insights and weather data.
- Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into overall landscape maintenance and lawn care projects.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance needs, and water-saving tips clearly to clients.
Experience
- Proven experience in irrigation system installation projects, maintenance, or repair with a focus on sprinkler irrigation technology.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of irrigation equipment, including pumps, valves, controllers, and power tools used in construction and landscaping.
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostics related to automated irrigation control systems.
- Hands-on experience with excavation work using hand tools or excavators for underground piping installation or repairs.
- Background in landscaping or horticulture with an understanding of soil science and its impact on irrigation needs.
- Construction experience preferred, especially in outdoor environments involving land development or landscape installation projects.
- Knowledge of lawn care practices and landscape maintenance to support overall site health alongside irrigation management.
