The Role: HVAC Service Technician
As our HVAC Service Technician, you’ll be the playmaker behind the comfort of every home you service. You’ll tackle a variety of technical “plays” from repair to maintenance on equipment including air conditioning units, electric motors, heating systems, heat pumps, and light residential furnaces.

Your Game Plan (Job Responsibilities)

Travel between branches (about 75%) to support different field teams
-
Complete homeowner service requests quickly and efficiently

Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics

Handle repairs, replacements, upgrades, and calibrations
Technical Skills Required

Knowledge of refrigerant controls and hermetic compressors

Experience with heat pumps, split systems, and package units up to 5 tons
-
Familiarity with ductless splits and electric motors (1-phase and 3-phase)

Understanding of motor controls and unit heaters
Qualifications

High School Diploma
-
EPA certification
-
Minimum 1 year of HVAC experience

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (3+ year experience required)

Must pass drug test and background check

Pay: $85,000 - $110,000, hourly based on skill and performance + Commissions on any earned revenue.
Performance metrics: Maintain your Gross Billable Amount (GBA) to keep your hourly rate.
Example: A tech earning $20/hr must generate $18,000 GBA per month (~$1,500/week). GBA targets adjust with your rate - the stronger your stats, the higher your pay potential.
