Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area by bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely service.
- Handle food items safely and adhere to all food handling guidelines.
- Assist with banquet setups as needed, ensuring all food service areas are well-prepared for events.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
