Join our dedicated team as a Direct Care Staff member working afternoon shifts, where your compassionate support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this role, you will provide essential personal care, assist with daily activities, and promote a safe, engaging environment for residents in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and dignity
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health assessments
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Operate EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to document care activities, vital signs, and any incidents promptly and accurately
- Use appropriate lifting equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury during mobility assistance
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary plans while maintaining a clean and organized environment in compliance with health standards
- Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety at all times
- Maintain a clean living environment by performing light housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas
- Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive resident care plans
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments with a focus on senior or disability care
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care, and behavior management techniques
- Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently in emergency situations
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring
- Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate approach toward individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments
- Experience operating EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident information
- Strong communication skills to effectively support residents’ needs and collaborate with team members
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record for resident transportation responsibilities
- Physical stamina to assist with mobility tasks using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment
- Ability to work independently while following established safety protocols and care standards

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
