We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques
- Manage medication intake processes and ensure accurate documentation
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and supporting medication administration
- Maintain inventory levels, stock medications, and ensure proper storage according to regulations
- Support critical care and acute care units with specialized medication needs
- Follow all safety protocols to uphold aseptic techniques and prevent contamination
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery and patient care continuity
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, prescription processing, and record keeping
Skills
- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician, with knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication handling
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and hospital procedures
- Experience working in LTC pharmacy, critical care, or acute care settings is highly desirable
- Familiarity with IV infusion preparation and aseptic techniques
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced healthcare environments
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation and inventory management
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and medication safety protocols
