Job Overview
The Material Handler supports manufacturing operations by safely moving raw materials and finished products using forklifts and material handling equipment. This role ensures production lines are supplied and finished goods are properly staged or shipped while being accurately tracked within the ERP system.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to pre stage raw materials for production and remove finished converted products from manufacturing areas.
- Load and unload trailers and stage materials in designated locations.
- Scan materials and record transactions using the ERP system.
- Verify product identification, quantities and condition during material movement.
- Maintain organized, safe staging and dock areas.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Level 2 Additional Responsibilities:
- Operate paper roll clamp equipment.
- Load, unload, and stage large paper rolls.
- Work independently across departments to support production and shipping schedules.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position requiring extended periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating forklifts and roll clamp equipment. Operators must be able to work safely in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for individuals seeking to learn or apply material handling and inventory tracking skills in a manufacturing setting.
