A regional law firm is seeking a Foreclosure Attorney to join its growing team. This is for the firm's Overland Park, KS office, but the person could sit in any city as long as they have an active KS license. This role focuses on representing banks, investors, and mortgage servicers in foreclosure, title, bankruptcy, and related litigation matters. The firm emphasizes compliance, risk management, and high-quality legal services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a high-volume caseload of foreclosure and title matters from referral through resolution
- Handle complex title issues, including quiet title actions and related claims
- Review loan documents, title reports, payment histories, and pleadings
- Draft motions, objections, affidavits, orders, and correspondence
- Attend hearings, settlement conferences, and court appearances (in person and remote)
- Provide regular client updates and collaborate with internal teams
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in Kansas
- 2+ years of foreclosure experience
- Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload
